Dr. John H. Skilton, founder of Skilton House Ministries (SHM), was an ordained minister in the Orthodox Presbyterian Church and a professor of the New Testament at Westminster Theological Seminary in Philadelphia. He possessed a heart of compassion for the forgotten of this world, whether they be the elderly in nursing homes, refugees from foreign lands in our cities, or hungry families. He knew that they were not forgotten by the Lord Jesus Christ. Dr. Skilton went to be with the Lord in 1998, but the labors of love he began continue on in the work of SHM to the glory of the Triune God of Scripture. One of Dr. Skilton’s favorite Scripture verses was Psalm 27:1, “The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?”
