Operation Brotherhood

Operation Brotherhood is an outreach to supply needy families in Philadelphia with Thanksgiving dinner.  Each year, we give out approximately 1,600 turkeys along with all the trimmings.  But it’s more than just about the food!  Along with each turkey and bag of stuffing, veggies, and cranberry sauce, each family receives a book of the Bible (such as the Gospel of Luke), donated by the Philadelphia Bible Society.  Local churches hand out the meals to families in their communities, and commit to praying for and reaching out to them with the love of Christ throughout the following year.

Volunteers ready to tackle the onions!

Each year we need donations of canned goods, funds for the purchase of turkeys, and volunteers to bag up the goodies.  Please check back in September to see the schedule for the upcoming Operation Brotherhood this November.  If you can spare some time, consider joining us for Packing Night, which is always a fun time of fellowship.  Come help us fill a couple thousand bags–in less time than you would think!  If you don’t have time to give, consider donating cans of veggies or boxes of stuffing (see the flyers page for more information), or contributing towards the cost of turkeys.

If you wish to make a financial donation, please send your check or money order, made payable to Skilton House Ministries, to: Skilton House Ministries, P.O. Box 1045, Glenside, PA 19038.

Many thanks to all of our past donors and volunteers.  We look forward to working with you again this fall!OB 5 bags modified rotated
